IN WATERCOLOR AND ACRYLICS
Sandra is noted for creating new and colorful moods from simple settings. Her paintings are generally subjects that inspire her; flowers, water, landscapes, and birds, capturing the beauty of nature up close or from afar.
“Give to the viewer a sense of beauty with peaceful surroundings that evoke memories of happiness.” Sandra, born and raised in New Rochelle, NY, is a graduate of Mount Holyoke College. After living and working in Rowayton for over 45 years, she and her husband moved to Westport, CT where she has her studio and gardens overlooking the Saugatuck River. She has studied with Robert Baxter and Anna Francis at Silvermine, and with Gayle Asher and Charles Sovek in Rowayton. She is an active and exhibiting member of the Westport and Rowayton Art Centers.
